Southway is a live electronic duo bringing together the energy of a live band, the atmosphere of a DJ set and the excitement of a modern electronic show. Formed by Shaun and Shiun, Southway was created from a shared passion for creating unforgettable live experiences. We believe the best performances are not just about playing songs — they are about creating a connection with the audience, building energy and giving people a moment they remember long after the event has finished. Our sound blends Nu-Disco, funk, disco, pop and dance influences (from the 80s to current day) with live vocals, keys, guitar, electronic drums and live production. We take familiar tracks and transform them into a fresh, high-energy performance that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. The result is a show that appeals to a wide range of audiences, from guests who love classic disco and funk through to those looking for modern electronic party energy. Between us, we have built many years of professional performance experience across different environments and countries. We have performed internationally, including cruise contracts where we delivered multiple live sets every day for thousands of guests. These experiences developed not only our musicianship, but also our ability to read audiences, adapt quickly and deliver consistently high-quality performances in demanding professional settings. We understand that every event is different, and we pride ourselves on being reliable, prepared and easy to work with — from the initial booking process through to the final performance. What makes Southway unique is the combination of live musicianship and electronic production. We are not a traditional function band and we are not simply a DJ act. Our performance sits in the space between the two, giving audiences the excitement of seeing musicians perform while creating the atmosphere and energy of a dance event. We are fully self-contained with our own PA and lighting rig, allowing us to perform at a wide variety of venues and events. Whether it is a private celebration, corporate event, festival, university event or luxury hospitality setting, our aim is always the same: to create an incredible atmosphere and get people moving.
