About Soulful Echos

Em Trumble & Jamie Pye are seasoned musicians from Aus, taking London by storm! Combining funk, grooves, pop, soul, with jazz sensibility
Jazz duo
London
Public liability insurance of £5 million

Jamie Pye is a London-based jazz guitarist and composer with roots in both Australia and New Zealand. After graduating from The Melbourne Conservatorium in 2018, Jamie relocated to Wellington to continue up-skilling at the New Zealand School of Music. Since completing his studies, he has been busy playing in various line ups and contexts; from intimate jazz duo residencies, to headline performances showcasing his original music. In April 2023, Jamie completed his first 10-date national tour with his quartet around New Zealand, including appearances at the Creative Jazz Club in Auckland and Hanover Hall on behalf of the Dunedin Jazz Club. As a composer, Jamie creates music with the intention of honest storytelling and narrative. His compositions are complex and harmonically rich, while remaining musically accessible to all ears. Joining forces with Monet, Jamie seamlessly infuses his jazz background with pop and neo soul, complementing Monet’s versatile and rich voice. Em is a London based vocalist and DJ, originally from Australia. Formally trained with a Bachelor of Music Performance in Classical Voice at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monet made the switch into the Jazz world in her second year of training. Attending the annual Jazz immersion Prato trip in 2019, Monet widen her versatility infusing jazzy, soulful and deep melodies with the lightness of a true soprano. Monet honed her skills in the industry as a successful backing vocalist singing with the likes of Marcia Hines at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and in DJ Groove Terminator’s sold-out Adelaide Fringe Show. A past member of Gospo Collective, Australia’s leading chorale ensemble, Monet has immense experience combining African rhythms, hymns and vocal harmony. A lead vocalist through and through, Monet is excited to join Jamie Pye in their Duo Project.

We hired Jamie for our corporate event in London with Em as the singer and they were both absolutely brilliant. They really set the tone for a fine dining corporate dinner and the post event drinks. Our feedback from attendees was purely positive. We would 10/10 recommend hiring them, especially if you are looking for a unique and entertaining backdrop to your event.
