What do your clients love most about your performances?
Hard to say but every venue we have played since starting in early 2017 has booked us again. People mention the interaction with the audience. Vocal harmonies, mix of male/female vocal and having a real three piece horn section, rather than synthesizers, attracts favourable comment. Overall we are told that we have an authentic sound and look.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Too many to name :-) A mix of old and new.
We like the classic sounds of Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Sam and Dave, Dusty Springfield, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, The Commitments, Ray Charles and the Blues Brothers.
However we like more modern artists too eg Amy Winehouse, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Ben l' Oncle, Eli 'Paperboy' Reid, Daft Punk.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
A charity dinner that raised £37,000 for a life saving operation for a young mother of two children. It was part of a high profile campaign to raise over £130,000 and took place in the magnificent Rochdale Town Hall. As a result we were then invited to perform for the Lord Mayor's event later in the year.
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
Our lead singer is always the same. We have two female singers. If we only have one female vocalist available we will let you know before booking. Instrumental deputies are rarely used. They are pre-auditioned, experienced and have played with us before your event. This maintains the quality of performance as our reputation is important to us.
Do you have different line-up options?
We aim to deliver the best overall package we can, that's why we are larger than a lot of other bands. The full-sized band allows us to do much more musically eg horn solos and effects, male/female vocal leads, a Capello etc. We always use the 10 piece line up as experience shows that the variety and big soul sound is appreciated by audiences.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Reasonable changes should not be a problem, we are flexible and do our best to accommodate your requests. We want your event to go smoothly too. Lets discuss it prior to the event - we are in it together!
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes. We provide an iPod/iPad service in-between sets. Its free.
How much time do you need to set up?
In order to load in equipment, then get set up and sound check so the sound and lights are good and we make the best impact on your audience we prefer to have at least 60-90 minutes.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
For weddings we invite your choice of first dance song in advance - even songs not on the set list. We prepare, rehearse and perform it as part of the package. We welcome your suggestions about the songs we play, whatever the event, so we can combine your ideas with our experience of successful shows and make it a great occasion for you.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes - no hidden extras. Just need to make sure all ten of us and the equipment fits in the performance space you have.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
We rehearse regularly and update our material so we have other songs that may not be on the published list yet. Happy to discuss adding other songs that you like. We don't busk it on the night, we prepare in advance to keep the standards up. We will always accommodate a wedding first dance song free of charge if we are told in advance.
