I am a Double Bass and Bass Guitar player specialising in jazz, musical theatre, classical, rock/pop and folk/world music. I have an extensive playing CV featuring over 30 pit-band appearances and five professional standard orchestras. I play regularly all over the country with both my function bands at weddings and corporate events. I am a fast learner, excellent sight-reader of notation and chord sheets and confident improvisor. I am a Manchester-based composer and recently graduated with a Masters in Music (Instrumental Composition) from the University of Manchester studying under Professor Camden Reeves. I am interested in retelling and reviving traditional fairy tales, folklore and folk music from the British Isles, as well as setting and combining new and old poetry. I am experienced in writing for theatre, dance and film. I have had works performed by Psappha Ensemble, the Danel Quartet, Vonnegut Collective, Vaganza (as part of New Music North West 2013 and 2016), Collective31, RNCM, Manchester Art Gallery, No Dice Collective, No Door Theatre Company, Manchester University Saxophone Choir and other soloists.
