After an unreliable DJ cancelled I was tasked with finding a band at very short notice to play my sisters surprise 21st. After seeing Felix Culpa at a wedding and a couple of times at The Botanist I contacted them and they where more than happy to accommodate such a last minute booking.
They where very helpful during the booking process making it nice and easy for someone who was not used to doing this kind of thing.
On the night, like the true diva she is, the birthday girl turned up late. Felix Culpa however took this in their stride, playing a fun playlist til she walked through for the big reveal and starting their set later than expected with a hearty rendition of happy birthday.
Despite the excitement of the surprise and lots of people seeing each other who hadn’t in a long time it wasn’t long before people where on their feet dancing to some great guilty pleasures that everyone knew and where merry enough to admit loving. This went on all night with 3, one hour sets filled in with DJing in between. With such a wide array of songs there was something for everyone and they really made the night special.
It goes without saying (but I will anyway) that they are both very talented musicians, but they also know how to help a party keep flowing and stay lively and that really sets them apart from a lot of other bands you may book for parties.
100% recommend them to all who enjoy music and fun!
