Authentic, Upbeat, Earnest, Considered, Caring. These are all things Sophie Holliday is known for, and this comes across in everything she does. A highly competent and reliable musician, as well as a hardworking and emerging businesswoman - why wouldn't you want to work with Sophie? A rising star in the music scene - Sophie is a fresh face from Rural Wales with resolve to succeed. Combining her Folk routes with hits from the 60s right up to 2025, she weaves her signature Folk-Pop fusion into every performance. Sophie's 15 years of guitar playing experience shine throughout her set, especially her fingerpicking style and ability to move around the fret board. This is complemented by her amazing voice, which has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Amy MacDonald & Phoebe Bridgers - her unique performance is not one to miss! Not only a performer, but also a change-maker. Sophie works in her community and beyond to improve education and inclusivity in the music industry: - Community Educator for songwriting and producing in Powys (in conjunction with Moca Cymru and Music Anywhere). - Founder & Host of an Inclusive Open Mic in Hereford starting March 2025. - Plans in motion to launch an educational platform/community for DIY Career Musicians. Sophie's Journey: In 2024 Sophie became a full-time musician, having an incredibly successful year as a live performer. In just the first 6 months, Sophie performed at venues all around Wales, Bristol, Essex, Birmingham, Sheffield and many in between. In that time, she played over 70 live performances and created a vast network of amazing people. Sophie continues to form fantastic relationships with local and national venues and build an authentic community with fans in-person and online. Sophie has been involved in live music since the age of 12 (now 26), both as a performer and technician. With previous experience as a live theatre lighting assistant, audio engineer, stagehand and drum tech, Sophie has a great understanding of many of the moving parts it takes to put an event together. Now focused on performing, she uses her industry knowledge to be an easy and enjoyable person to work with, fitting into your event plans with simplicity and efficiency. Sophie is also Drummer and Band Leader for Welsh Wedding Band 'Fundlewarp & The Lampshade Catchers", a 3-piece Folk outfit with soaring harmonies, catchy riffs and sick beats to get you moving and grooving! Multi-Instrumentalist and Lead Musician - Sophie is Organised, a Team Player, and Thorough in the pursuit of her craft. Away from the stage, Sophie has also been a budding producer since the age of 17. Using both Ableton Live and Logic Pro, Sophie works with acoustic artists and bands, specialising in Indie-Folk, Indie/Alt Pop and Alt-Rock. Building a roster of Artists throughout Wales and in the Bristol area, Sophie is quickly gaining traction as a professional producer in the South West. The Mix With The Masters platform is Sophie's current method of study, working to take her producing skills to the next level. Nuanced and poignant, Sophie's songwriting also captures musical essences of the 70s with a wisdom beyond her years. Influences like The Japanese House, Mac Demarco, Pinegrove & Slaughter Beach, Dog - Sophie's original music carries over that Folk and Pop fusion she is known for. Emotional, Nostalgic, Relatable and Down-To-Earth... Sophie is consistent in any aspect of her writing, producing and performing. Overall Sophie Holliday is an incredibly grounded and well-rounded musician. She creates an amazing atmosphere at any event or in any work setting, and thrives on reading a crowd and getting everyone involved. Sophie loves nothing more than transforming a group of strangers into a community and creating unforgettable experiences.

I saw Sophie play on Christmas Eve and she was great! She played a fun mixture of well-known tunes and Christmas songs for us all to sing along to. She was really friendly and chatty with us and the other locals. Great voice and played to the crowd. Would 100% come to see her again.

Fundlewarp & The Lampshade Catchers were amazing for my Wedding! Sophie was incredibly helpful and organised, and she curated their setlist specially for us, which we really appreciated. Our guests had a fantastic time and it was such a fun evening. I definitely recommend both Sophie and the band... Professional and affordable, with an awesome and unique style. They were exactly what we were looking for!
