Sophie recently completed a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, where she learned under the guidance of Anna Noakes, Margaret Campbell and Christopher Green. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Master of Arts degree in July 2016, studying with Samuel Coles and Patricia Morris. She has since then been freelancing throughout UK/worldwide, with orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra, St Paul's Sinfonia, the Orchestra of Tunisia or the World Civic Orchestra in NYC, USA. Sophie was born in Lyon, France, where she started studying music, before studying in Aix-en-Provence and Dijon where she obtained her Bachelor degree in June 2014. During her studies in France, Sophie had the opportunity to play with the Orchestre National de Lyon’s Youth Academy and the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, and she also performed as a soloist playing Mozart’s G Major flute concerto, and C Major flute and harp concerto, with the University of Lyon Symphony Orchestra in 2010 and 2012. Since arriving in London, she has worked with such conductors as Marin Alsop, Ed Gardner or Vladimir Jurowski amongst others.
