I am an established pianist who has been involved in the wedding/event industry for over 10 years. Having studied music from a young age to a high academic standard, I was scouted by an Asian Wedding Events company who heard me play Bollywood music at a popular shopping complex in London. Since then I have regularly been booked for weddings, events and charity performances. I am experienced in most music styles, however my favourite styles are contemporary popular music, bollywood music and film music. The fortunate ability of being able to play music by ear means that I am able to create custom bespoke playlists for any genre required if necessary! I love playing the piano as it is a beautiful way of being able to express and evoke all types of emotions and add that personal touch to an event. Each and every event is unique to me and shared musical interests are a great way of bringing people together and making great memories!!

Wow! Thank you so much Sophia Puri Music for making my wedding day absolutely unforgettable! When I heard some of Sophia’s samples on Instagram I was blown away but she truly wowed us on our wedding day! Sophia very kindly helped create a magical unique playlist of some of my partners and I favourite songs and fused them with Bhangra and Bollywood songs. This was something I have never seen done before ! It was truly epic! She was so supportive and professional right throughout the process and made it so easy for us as couple to organise our entertainment for our big day! We are so happy we chose Sophia! Sophia played the piano beautifully at my daughters wedding. The music brought tears to my eyes and many of the other guests said the same! We had a very specific brief and she was extremely accommodating to our requests. Will definitely be booking again!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change in the run up, just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

Set up time is usually 30 minutes

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes of course! As long as the piano is in working order and in tune then definitely happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set list is always bespoke to each individual event to meet your specific needs and tastes. As I am able to play by ear, if you give me enough notice I can compose an instrumental for you for any of your favourite music. Equally, I am happy to create a set list for you based on experience of what works best!

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes! I have my own portable black baby grand piano which I am able to transport to venues.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes definitely. I am happy to do this free of charge, the more personal that I can make your song requests the better!
