Founded by two busking virtuosos outside the world-famous skytrain station, Sons of Granville quickly became a staple of the city’s entertainment district and vibrant music scene. They released their self-titled debut and recruited a fiery percussionist to complete the trio, cementing a reputation for unbridled live theatrics. They released the Imperative Drive LP in as a farewell to their busking roots. Fast forward to today: Sons of Granville are Vancouver’s top choice of acoustic music for conferences, summits, grand openings, weddings, birthdays and other milestone celebrations. Toting a mix of classic covers, modern Top 40, world music hits and show-stopping originals, their full-bodied acoustic sound establishes a fun and inviting atmosphere for guests of all ages and backgrounds.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our main format is instrumental trio with viola, guitar and percussion. We also have duo with viola and guitar.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We have a custom background music setlist to play between our sets. It’s light, jazzy instrumental music with piano, bass, drums and guitar.

How much time do you need to set up?

We arrive on-site 75 minutes prior to playing. We can set up in 25 minutes from the moment we arrive at the playing position. Even with our moderate PA, our footprint is small - we don’t require special loading bay access.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We do not provide roaming music, as the main percussion instrument is stationary.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes - pick as many songs as you wish from our song list. We also take 2 new song requests with advance notice.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We bring our PA which can be used for your own MC / announcements. If you have extensive A/V requirements besides our live music (keynote presentations, multimedia, DJ, or similar) you should hire a local A/V company. We do not provide lighting, and defer to your own A/V team for visual enhancements.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we can learn two new songs with advance notice.
