The band were absolutely incredible. We had such a good time and our wedding guests are still talking about how good the music was! The band's communication (led by Peter) was spot on, they arrived on time, set up really calmly in the background, helped announce our first dance and father/daughter dance (even being in charge of pressing play on Spotify for our songs), and then preceded to play 2 brilliant sets. By the end, almost everyone was up dancing and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to book a great band for any event, but especially a wedding!

Without doubt the best wedding band I've ever seen. They are incredibly talented, and brought such a positive, fun atmosphere that got everybody dancing. They were also really lovely people, in organising the day and being super accommodating, and the loveliest people to have there on the night. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Wow, wow, wow! Absolutely thrilled with this band. They bent over backwards to ensure everyone had a good time. They were flexible and happy to learn a new song for the event. They were so friendly and warm. They were such a talented bunch of people. I can’t recommend them enough, they were absolutely perfect. Thank you for making the night so special 😀😀😀

My wife and I shared our 60th’s and 40th wedding anniversary and through a family member were alerted to Smooth Edge and were fortunate enough to have them to play at our party on February 7th 2015, What a professional band of musicians who can play just about anything and have a wonderful warm persona that makes for a fantastic experience and made the difference to the whole evening. During and after the party we had so many people asking ” where did you find the band” all saying how brilliant they were. Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we function as a trio (same line-up without saxophones) or as a 5-piece with added drums replacing programmed drums.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

How much time do you need to set up?

75 minutes

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, and we can discuss special requests such as your 1st dance (if the event is a wedding). We'd prefer to do this in advance and sculpt the perfect sets for you.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, within limits. We would certainly expect to play a specific 1st dance for you if it is a wedding. Limited numbers of further requests are also possible. Also, if a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it.
