Sitar

Birmingham

Public liability insurance of £10 million

I am from a family deeply rooted in Indian classical music and have been learning Indian classical music since I was very young and have played Sitar from 5 years old. My father (Ustad Gurdeep S Dharni) teaches in schools across the West Midlands and our community here is famed for their excellence in music. I have been lucky enough to learn from my father, Ustad Tarloch Singh & their son as well as virtuoso Roopaji Panesar. I have performed in the Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall and many music festivals over the years as well as work with artists such as Gunjan Singh, Tigerstyle and Basement Jaxx. I also love singing and enjoy pop, R&B, country & Bollywood songs. I have featured vocally as well as with my Sitar with various UK artists. If you would like to hire a singing Sitar (and tabla) player for your special occasion, we would love to bring a little musical magic to your special occasion.
