What do your clients love most about your performances?

Nothing can compare with a live 3 piece professional brass section that bursts the music into life! Each of our Singers are able to cover & back any song, and with a solid funky back line, Sir Duke makes an awesome sound. Add a percussionist and this just puts the cherry on the cake!!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've been performing since 1990 and honestly there are so many. In fact, when I take my wife out any where, I can usually say during our travels..."I've played there!" I say it so much she really doesn't appreciate it. Recently, we performed at Wedding at Ardington House, and we always feature in the Jazz Cafe Xmas Party lineup.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Stevie Wonder (hence Sir Duke) Earth Wind & Fire, Chic, Jamiroquai, Kool and the Gang, and any 1970's/80's/90's Disco Dance music that fits with our dance feel good vibe! Because it's all about the groove and making you feel great!!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Celebrity Charity event in Windsor.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, at least one of the singers in the video will be performing at your event. Sadly Kym past in 2020. :(

Do you have different line-up options?

We do. We have a 5 piece Jazz Band, but the main Sir Duke function band can have line up options from 2 or 3 singers, 2 or 3 brass players, or the inclusion of a percussionist. The maximum size band is an 11 piece, with 3 brass players and 3 singers. With an 11 piece line up, any Soul, Motown, Dance, Disco music sounds simply awesome. Check Jason's review.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not a problem. We will adapt to your requirements even during your special day.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we provide a full DJ service and iPod interface service.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ideally, we need 1hour 30mins, but it can be done in 60mins.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes. we had three meetings with the latest Bride and Groom to discuss the song choice. The whole set list was organised around their requirements. During the event, we even encouraged the Groom to sing...after all it's his special day too.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, we provide full PA and Lighting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, we can arrange for any song to be played before the event.
