Sir Dancelot comprises: Graham Brand (concertina, cittern) David Cornelius Eger (fiddle, whistles, mandolin) Peter Timmins (fiddle, cornet) Matt Watson (guitar, whistles, jews harp) Richard Osborne (guitar) Diana Poole (caller) Based in Llanidloes, among the beautiful hills of Mid Wales, Sir Dancelot was formed in 2006 out of a selection of the finest musicians from the local folk scene, each of us having had our own individual journey through music before coming together as a band. Since then, we have played for countless ceilidhs, both private and public, throughout Wales, the Borders and Midlands. With English and Welsh tunes at the core, our varied repertoire spans Europe and North America, enabling us to accompany dances from the liveliest jigs, reels and polkas to stately bourrées, waltzes and an dros - and even the occasional East European circle dance. Working with our highly experienced caller, we can tailor our set to your needs, with an emphasis on Welsh dances and tunes if requested. We are also happy to provide music for non-dance events.
