Sinead D'Abreu-Hayling

British born Trinidadian Soprano Sinead D’Abreu-Hayling, is currently studying a BMus vocal performance at the Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts. Sinead studies under the tutelage of esteemed Welsh soprano Camilla Roberts and has received coaching’s from Catherine Roe-Williams and Iwan Davies, Sinead has participated in Masterclasses by Della Jones, Thomas Blunt and Sarah Crisp. Whilst on this course she has had numerous performance opportunities such as monthly student spotlights, performances at St Edwards church and most notably singing with the ‘UWTSD’ Academy Voices choir, alongside Katherine Jenkins, for Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Windsor Horse Show as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Sinead has many accomplishments outside of university, in 2022 she made her WNO debut, being in the original cast of The Shoemaker. Alongside incredible talents such as Neil Balfour, Marion Newman and Grammy Award winner Kenneth Overton. She made her West End Debut in 2021 at the Charing Cross Theatre in the Grand Finals of West End Calling, she appeared in the grand finals of Open Mic Uk 2017 and has partaken in many Curtain Call Productions and Audlem Theatre Company productions, as well as singing at many birthday parties, weddings corporate events and even appearing as a representative at a black history month conference, to speak about what it is like being a young black opera singer in training. Sinead is very much looking forward to the future as she has been accepted into a vocal masters programme at The Royal Northern College of Music where she plans to continue developing her vocal technique, exploring her voice more, finding her musical identitity and hopefully partaking in some operas.
