Simon Vasey

I'm a committed full time drummer willing to travel for gigs. I can read drum charts and music score. I've played The London Palladium, recorded at the BBC, toured the UK with bands. I've played in jazz groups, swing and big bands with contemporary and classic influences from Glen Miller, Gordon Goodwin, Art Blakey, Buddy Rich to Billy Cobham. I've played with many “Big Bands” including the Dan Spanner Big Band, KiX Big Band, Barry Sapsford Jazz Orchestra, ENJO Big Band, Urban Big Band, Fleetville Swing Band. I've played theatre shows and pantomimes including Avenue Q, Full Monty, We Will Rock You, Sweet Charity, Aladin, Rapunzel plus many more. I regularly play pubs and clubs in and around London with rock and pop covers bands including Milly Soo Band, Blue North, The Jars, Hopperstomp, The 102s and others. I teach drumming to students from my home in North London.
