Simon is an Essex-born trumpet player living and working in London. He was given a full scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of music on the 4 year Bachelor of Music course. During Simon’s time at the Academy he won the John Soloman Prize for Brass & Woodwind and played first trumpet for many of the ensembles and orchestras including the Concert orchestra and Opera. Outside the Academy he has been involved in various contrasting events, from performing a solo at the London Handel Festival to being recorded for a McDonald’s TV advert.
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Simon has worked in and around London as a freelance musician. During 2011 Simon became a member of the Southbank Sinfonia, an orchestra of young professionals and the country's leading orchestral academy. He regularly performs with the London Musical Arts Orchestra at St. Martin in the Fields as well as performing with chamber groups and performing as a soloist.
