I have been playing live music in bands and solo for 20 years now and have not only built up a repertoire of 300 covers with a range of styles and different eras, but also know how to read the room and get a party going. I enjoy playing solo, but also play with the Simon Cragg Band, our 4-piece wedding and party band - see my other profile. I bring my own PA system, and disco lighting if required. We were so lucky to find Simon for our family summer party. Pre-event comms were great. A call about vibe and songs and we were set. On the night Simon has a great voice and knocked his sets out of the park, interspersed with well judged DJ sets. He adapted to the shenanigans, tee’d all the announcements up right on cue and generally became our friend who played our party. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We were lucky enough to experience Simon's musical talents at a fund raising dinner last year, so when we were planning a special summer celebration for this year we were so pleased he could be part of it. Providing amazing 'background' songs whilst everyone enjoyed their hog roast, Simon was then joined by his newly formed band and 'made some noise' putting lots of smiles on faces whilst we danced and sang along!! We would highly recommend Simon - such a friendly person with a fantastic range of songs to offer.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to make sure your event runs smoothly

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. I often do this without being asked.

How much time do you need to set up?

30 mins - I have a really simple but brilliant set up

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is crafted from many performances, but I always make an effort to accommodate to use songs you'd like. I will happily learn a song as well!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course. And for no extra cost!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

That I can read the room and choose songs that suit either background songs whilst people are eating, or up and dancing to some fun hits!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Loads of pubs and restaurants around Hertfordshire and London.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The love of the melodies of artists like The Beatles, Crowded House, Sting, and Paul Simon, but have recently been more influenced by Motown and soul which I use as part of my performances.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
