We are a 4-piece, 5-star party band who love creating a fantastic atmosphere at weddings, events, and parties. We offer a complimentary DJ service as part of each booking. Simon has been gigging for over 20 years with a blend of Pop, Rock, Motown, Soul, and Indie songs - playing guitar and piano in many different settings. In this setup he brings together three other pro musicians, including his drummer Olly, a regular with the BBC philharmonic orchestra, and one time runner up in Young musician of the year. Completing the setup is bassist, DJ, and harmony genius, Martin, and keys player Richard. What people seem to love is the way the four of them gel together, and have fun themselves, inviting everyone to come and join them in the fun. We also have lots of additional musicians we can get involved - a fantastic female backing vocalist, , saxophonist etc. We know LOTS of musicians, so do just ask. SCB come with their own PA and lighting for venues of any size, as well as public liability insurance. Martin is also a pro DJ who can do that to keep the party going between and after we've played. The best decision ever to book Simon for our wedding reception! We had acoustic cover by Simon when guests arrived, live band sets and also DJ playlists in between. Both singing and the instruments were on point all night and got everyone dancing! Plus the drummer has some wicked dance moves! We would highly recommend booking them for any event/wedding :)

We had Simon and his band play at our wedding recently and all I can say is that they are an absolutely brilliant band. In the build up to the wedding he kept in contact with us finding out exactly what we wanted and didnt want played. Although we had a few wants we were happy to let Simon have artistic licence and they didnt disappoint. They read the room brilliantly, and the dancefloor was full all evening. All the guests raved about the band who absolutely made the evening so much fun. Simon also did a DJ set which again was brilliant. If youre in two minds if to have a band or not at your function, all I can is absolutely do. I cant recommend Simon and his band enough. Well worth every penny.

“Clearly very talented musicians, we can’t recommend Simon Cragg music enough. Simon and the band kept the atmosphere at our Summer Ball upbeat with a good mixture of old and new, leading to some anthemic tunes to round off which had the whole dancefloor going. We were lucky enough to experience Simon's musical talents at a fund raising dinner last year, so when we were planning a special summer celebration for this year we were so pleased he could be part of it. Providing amazing 'background' songs whilst everyone enjoyed their hog roast, Simon was then joined by his newly formed band and 'made some noise' putting lots of smiles on faces whilst we danced and sang along!! We would highly recommend Simon - such a friendly person with a fantastic range of songs to offer.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

We tend play as a three-piece (me, bass, drums), or four piece (plus keys), but we are well connected and can add a female vocalist, sax player etc - just ask.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 3 x 3 metre space to perform

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you for free!
