Customer questions
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
We always ensure that our singer, Lloyd, performs at every gig. We insist on this to ensure our clients experience our band exactly as you hear in our video.
We do have an extensive list of contacts for professional level 'dep' musicians should they be required to step in on Guitar, Keyboard, Bass or Drum-Kit.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our Bass player, Josie, is a first-class Saxophonist, and if required we can provide a short set of high quality Jazz standards.
Additionally, we can provide a live Ceilidh.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible regarding timings, and make a conscious effort to accommodate all circumstances. If your timings change in the run up to the event please let us know and we will make adjustments.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
We can run our iPhone through the PA system, and will discuss this with you before the event to create your perfect Spotify playlist. This is completely free of charge.
How much time do you need to set up?
We require approximately one hour to set up, and will ensure to play your chosen music through the PA system to help set the atmosphere.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Of course. We will discuss our set beforehand and make any reasonable adjustments if required.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
PA is included in the quote, but unfortunately we do not currently provide lighting. This is something we will invest in if we receive a high demand from our clients.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Absolutely! If your favourite song is not included on our set-list, or if you would like us to learn a song for your first dance then please get in touch four weeks before your event. This will be of no additional cost as we pride ourselves in creating the best possible experience for you.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Our audiences are blown away by our energy and stage presence, as well as our attention to detail and commitment to learning songs thoroughly and professionally.
We have been praised for our visual appeal and ability to perform songs that get people up dancing all night!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
As a newly formed band, we have performed together at Box in Glasgow.
Before forming Silvertones, Lloyd and Sam performed extensively as an acoustic due at prestigious venues such as Seamill Hyrdo. Chun-wei (drummer) plays frequently with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, touring Europe and beyond.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
We are influenced by a wide variety of artists, shown by our set-list. Chun-wei and Josie are greatly inspired by the Jazz genre and musicians such as Charlie Parker and Buddy Rich.
Within the wedding band industry we are greatly inspired by our contemporaries Three Card Trick and The Upbeats.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Lloyd and Sam received excellent reviews for their performance at the 'Birdie Ball', in aid of Cancer Research, held at the beautiful Seamill Hydro in February 2019. They played for guests on arrival and created the perfect atmosphere for a highly successful event.
