Silk Street Jazz performs at hundreds of events each year and have appeared on TV, performing for famous names including The Late Her Majesty The Queen, Robert Smith (The Cure), Gordon Ramsay, Ray Winstone, Sir Ian Botham, Paul O'Grady and Cilla Black. Silk Street Jazz is regular yearly performer for the VIP evening at the Chelsea Flower Show. The Silk Street Jazz Band were formed back in 2003 as a new generation of an early jazz band. The ensemble contains today's young up-and-coming players, who continue to revitalise the scene with their flair, excitement and enthusiasm. Their ability to acknowledge and reflect on the past but to create a contemporary sound is why it is one of the pre-eminent bands on the scene today. All members are full-time professionals and some of the leading musicians in their field. They don't do this part-time! The Silk Street Jazz Band are building on a fast-growing prestigious reputation for being one of the most reliable bands in the UK. Establishing a high level of consumer confidence, the band’s credibility in today's market is clearly evident from its extensive list of widely recognised and extremely satisfied clientele.

Seamless process with good continual communication. Polite and friendly team on the phones as well as the band. They were ideal for mums wake and gave the occasion the lift that I was looking for and that everyone enjoyed. They did a sterling job in the heat and it will be a special memory of a very important day. Thank you.

Silk Street Jazz were very proficient and played some lovely music for my party. Guests were very impressed. Good communication prior to the day and arrangements were that the band would arrive at 2 p.m. in order to eat and change in time to commence playing by 3 p.m. The band didn't arrive until nearly 3 and didn't start playing until 3.30/3.45 by which time guests had already arrived. Once they commenced, however, I was happy with the service.

We understand how important it is for everything to go smoothly, especially for such a special occasion. As you know, we travelled a significant distance to be there, and despite our best efforts, sometimes unforeseen circumstances on the roads can affect our timing. We apologise that we couldn’t arrive earlier as hoped. Although we arrived at 14:35, prepared and ready to perform shortly after, we completely understand if this wasn’t as early as you anticipated. However, we’re glad we could start the performance at 3:15pm, which seemed to coincide well with your guests' arrival, many of whom came earlier than scheduled. We hope this didn’t detract from the overall experience and that our music added the perfect touch to your celebration. Once again, thank you for choosing us to be a part of your special day. We’re grateful for your understanding and are thrilled that you were pleased with our service.

We deliver high-energy, enthusiastic and engaging performances. Unlike other bands who stand in the corner and play, We perform and interact with your guests.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Buckingham Palace, The Guildhall London, Tate Modern, Tower Bridge Walkways, Hilton Manchester, BMA House, The Ritz London, The Savoy Hotel London. We can't fit all of the great venues on to this list!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We haven't performed at just one high-profile gig. We've performed at many. Which includes performing for Royalty and at Buckingham Palace.

Do you have different line-up options?

We have multiple line up options from 2 to 7-piece bands

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know. Adjustments depend on our commitments around your event. We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide this. See our extra charges.

How much time do you need to set up?

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes absolutely. We can perform in a mobile fashion.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You are welcome to choose some songs off the list. Or you can leave it to us as professionals to perform songs that will work best for the event!
