Sian Davies

I am a classical singer with experience in opera, song, contemporary classical and jazz. I'm also an experienced chorister and conduct a church choir. You can read some more about me in my biography below: Siân Davies is a Welsh mezzo-soprano studying for her Master of Music at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Antonia Sotgiu. She is generously supported by the Alice Orrell and A&N Kendall Award, The Annie Ridyard Scholarship and the Riga Heesom Award. Siân's recent highlights include performances with Sir Stephen Hough, David Owen Norris and a recital at the Bridgewater Hall. As a child Siân sang in music service ensembles, the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the National Youth Choir of Wales and her church choir. Her love of both the choral tradition and church music has stayed with her: She has been a choral scholar at Holy Innocents Church since 2018 and has been their conductor since September 2022. Siân’s experience as a support worker for adults with disabilities has strengthened her belief in the power of music to transform lives and her passion for music in the community, organising workshops for nursing home residents. Siân also enjoys teaching singing, freelancing as a soloist and choral singer and performing with the RNCM Chamber Choir and RNCM Songsters.
