Shivone

I am Shivone a cuban and slovak blood artist based in London. My juxtaposed heritage brought me into combining different styles like belly dancing , contemporary , jazz and heels. It evolved into adding singing soul/jazz /cuban music and acting in actors lab (Creart) in Mallorca where I am from. From there I moved to London to study musical theater at London College of Music to connect all three disciplines. I worked in Mallorca as a session singer at Luxury Hotels and events for two seasons now , already calling me for the next.. My show is personal as I am connecting with the spectators through my heritage , movement , spoken word and improvisation.. It becomes a unique and authentic experience as it changes depending on the space , people and energies .. I am currently working on my singer-songwriter project "The Witch of Love " where my three cultures coexist with the main essence of life: love. In the last year I graduated and created my own theatre: Maria Who? company , with whom I am touring with our first awarded original production Miss Brexit. Its main theme is identity , we explore the struggles of migrant actors, we created original music, use audience interaction etc. Our aim is to give voice to minorities and create a platform for migrant actors. I have choreographed an original opera Musicofilia and runed "heels workshops" to embrace our intimate side without judgement no matter the background. I am an artist compromised with the community and everything I do is connected to it .For me is the only way of changing the narrative , by eliminating toxicity that is in our industry and individualistic society we live in. That is why my solo show is the reminder to stay true, celebrate us and others. As it takes little to enlighten somebodies life and I get to do it through art.
