About Shannon

I am a cellist based in London and can play many different styles ranging from classical to pop!
Cellist
London

Performing is a huge passion of mine and has been something I have loved since I was a child. I have been playing the cello for 10 years and am a music graduate from the University of Surrey. As someone who likes to create a positive impact with the music I play, being able to perform in front of an audience and seeing their reactions feels incredibly rewarding and heart-warming. Some of my favourite performances include playing in various lunchtime recitals at the University of Surrey, where I have performed pieces by composers such as Bach, Rachmaninoff, Elgar and Shostakovich. Another one of my favourite performances took place at the Royal Albert Hall with Redbridge Music Service's symphony orchestra, where I participated in the orchestra for their 2020 choral festival.

It was an absolute pleasure having Shannon as part of our day - she was absolutely brilliant and we loved the music selection! She played the music for our outdoor wedding ceremony and throughout the drinks reception; she arranged specific pieces at our request and played a wonderful selection of both classical and modern songs. Not only a highly accomplished cellist, she’s also a lovely person to communicate with and couldn’t have been more accommodating with our various requests and questions before and during the event itself. The live music really made our afternoon feel special and guests repeatedly commented on how wonderful Shannon was. We would wholeheartedly recommend and would definitely rebook!

Shannon has been amazing. She performed in the band for our secondary school production of Beauty and the Beast. She approached everything with professionalism and was incredibly friendly (especially with myself as a very rusty conductor). Couldn’t have asked for more.
