The music played at our wedding was beautiful and completely changed the energy at the wedding and made it feel much more romantic. The personalised covers we asked them to perform were much better than expected. They were very lovely to speak to and made an effort with any guests who interacted with them. Serenity Strings provided an incredible array of music throughout the ceremony and drinks reception at our wedding. The level of professionalism, communication and flexibility the girls had right from booking to on the day was second to none. From arranging a personal song for walking down the aisle to creating an incredible set list for the rest of the day, I could not be happier to have asked the girls to perform at our wedding. The guests were in awe of the music and I know a few have taken their details for future events. If you want a Bridgerton feel to your event bringing modern and classic pop songs as well as all the string classics to your day then book these two!! We absolutely loved having Serenity String Duo at our wedding. In all honesty wedding music wasn't something we'd given much thought to, but from the moment we heard Laura and Katja perform at a wedding fair, we were sold. They offer a range of packages depending on what you want and the list of songs is endless so you can make everything just how you want it with plenty of suggestions from them along the way. I hadn’t heard the musicians play before the wedding day as the bride had heard and chosen them so I wasn’t sure how they would sound. They played so beautifully, the moment I heard them I knew that I had nothing to worry about. ALL the guests at the wedding commented how beautiful they played and it really did help create a perfect day. Standing at the alter, waiting for the bride and listening to the strings of Serenity duo is such a precious memory and I am so thankful to them for creating it.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We pride ourselves in treating all clients with the level of confidentiality that they require. Growing up, both Laura & Katja have rehearsed & recorded in Abbey Road Studios London, then performed in a larger ensemble at Somerset House. Katja has also recorded at Real World Studios, Box, and Laura has performed in numerous Children In Need concerts.

Do you have different line-up options?

We have many professional contacts and musicians that we work with on a regular basis. We can perform as a larger ensemble if necessary, please note that prices will reflect this. At every event, Serenity String Duo will be led by either Katja or Laura. Please get in touch with any special requirements. Contact us for a more personalised quote.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We understand that sometimes things can change on the day of an event, occasionally things run late, or are delayed. We always try our best to be adaptable to ensure that the music for your special event goes well. If you are aware of timings needing to change before the event do let us know, as we always aim to be as flexible as possible.

How much time do you need to set up?

We always arrive at an event early so that we can set up and warm up beforehand. We usually arrive 30 minutes before we start performing.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You certainly can. Our clients have access to an extensive and diverse range of music, allowing us to create bespoke entertainment for any occasion. Have a look at our Repertoire List and contact us with your ideas. We’ll help you create the perfect playlist!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Of course! However we are always appreciative if there are chairs provided at the venue. Please note that we can perform outdoors but require some form of shelter. A gazebo, pergola, tree or stationed by French doors work best. Do consider a contingency plan for adverse weather. Advance notice must be given if you'd like us to perform outside.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

We have elite classical training, & can perform from an extensive repertoire list. We have songs from a variety of genres including: Modern Pop & Rock, Classical Pop & Rock, Film/TV, Broadway & Jazz. If you would like a song you don’t see on our repertoire list, we can discuss putting an arrangement together for you. Bespoke arrangements cost £50 each.
