I am a classical pianist. My interest are improvisation, chamber music, contemporary music, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pianist Sebastián Espinosa Carrasco (Mexico City, 1992) graduated from the National Conservatoire of Music Mexico. As an undergraduate student, he was invited through the Mexican Consulate to perform as a soloist and collaborative pianist at the Expo Cultural Center in Shanghai Expo 2010; the University of British Columbia in Vancouver; and New York University, NY. Collaboration is his main interest; working often as a chamber musician and with composers. With oirTrio Ensemble he won first prize in the Seventh National Chamber Music Competition Ollin Yolliztli 2014 (México). With Sedna Trio he won special prize in York Chamber Music Competition 2015. In summer 2014 he debuted as a soloist with orchestra performing the premiere of Armando Luna’s Second Piano Concerto, with Mexico City Philharmonic. On March 2017 he will be performing Stravinsky´s Concerto for piano and Wind Instruments, together with Guildhall Wind and Brass Ensemble, conducted by Eric Crees. Since autumn 2014 he is a postgraduate piano student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he studies with Katya Apekisheva and Charles Owen. There, He has discovered improvisation, and enjoys close collaboration with instrumentalists, actors, technicians, and composers.
