A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he formally trained as a bassoonist, Sebastian sings as a soloist and chorally in the UK and abroad, whilst continuing his singing studies privately with Philip Doghan. Recent operatic roles have included; Prince Yeletsky 'Queen of Spades', Captain MacHeath 'The Beggar’s Opera', Masetto 'Don Giovanni', Aeneas 'Dido and Aeneas', Cascada 'Merry Widow', Cox 'Cox and Box', Notary and Doctor Gianni Schicchi, and Lawyer Emily (world premiere) with companies such as New Sussex Opera, Surrey Opera, Opus Opera, OperaCoast, IrrationalTheatre, Opera Anywhere and Opera Danube. 2015 has seen him perform in Tristan and Isolde at Longborough Festival Opera and do a five month stint, touring the UK with the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. On the concert platform, solo engagements have included Haydn Creation, Mozart Requiem, Vaughn-Williams Fantasia on Christmas Carols and Serenade to Music and Bach Cantatas BWV 92, 23, 82 and 56. As a professional chorister, Sebastian has worked with numerous groups including Metro Voices, RSVP Voices, Blossom Street Singers, St Bride’s, Fleet Street, Southwark Cathedral Choir and Methodist Central Hall Westminster, at which he held the professional Bass post. Alongside his stage and concert work, Sebastian also works in leadership development with the company Moving Performance, who inspire change in organisations through the power of music and is a professional headshot photographer for Classical and Opera singers.
