About Sean

Sean is a brilliant, vibrant young musician with extensive performance and recording experience. Happy to travel the world for great shows!
Percussionist
Bristol
Public liability insurance of £10 million

I have been playing percussion professionally since 2012. I have studied under some of the UK's best tutors and practitioners to Grade 8 level in Drum Kit and world percussion. In 2015 I was awarded a 1st class honours degree in Music at UCLan as well being nominated for the Creative Award from my whole year. I have played over 1200 shows and am the lead percussionist of established festival band Mobius Loop. I play in several other projects as a session percussionist, so I can play in a wide variety of styles to a high level. I have professional standard Latin percussion set, African percussion set and Drum Kit and my own van so I can travel all over the UK. I have also began working as a solo performer on my Handpan, a percussive meldoci instrument that is perfect for weddings and relaxed settings. For shows outside of the UK I am happy to travel by plane. Through years of experience, I am now always punctual, dressed to perform and come with a professional mind set to provide the performance that my employer desires.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'll always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My creative playing. My exuberant and skilled solo's. My smile whilst I'm playing. You can see that I'm having a great time up there and that is infectious on the audience!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Deaf Institute (Manchester), Balabam, Camden Locks, Magic Garden (London), 53 Degrees (Preston), Mono (Glasgow), as well as many more all around the UK. I have also played as a headline act on the main stage of esatbluished festivals in the UK such as Buddahfield, Green Gathering and In2TheWild.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Satana, Buddy Rich, Mitch Mitchell, Arctic Monkeys, Bob Marley, Tinariewen, Buena Vista Social Club.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Vegan Camp Out Main stage to 650 people. Buddahfield Main Stage to 400 people and Clitheroe Fire Festival to 800 people.

Sean was a really pleasant guy and extremely patient! He had to wait around quite a bit before getting started because this was organised as a surprise for my husband. Thank you Sean.

Seans talents never cease to amaze me. His stylistic approach is a refreshing blend of a number of genres. His combination of Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz sensibility helps to create a sound reminiscent of the greats such as Peraza, Costanzo and Santamaria.

have watched Sean at a number of gigs , including leading in a fusion piece , at 53 degrees, Preston . His playing is always supportive of others playing with him , whilst challenging others to inspire their best playing . His style was innovative and the fusion of Indian and western music was a unique treat , definitely one of the best drummers I have seen.
