The Scott Leslie Ceilidh Band are an exciting group of musicians full of energy, professionalism and great tunes. They consist of Accordion, Fiddle & Drums and play a fantastic mix of both traditional & modern tunes. Calling dances is an important aspect of the band and dance instructions are clear and easy to understand although we are happy to down ‘tools’ and help demonstrate dances when required. With the emphasis on fun, the band believe they can have everybody up dancing & enjoying the music. The current 3pc line-up has been together for over 20 years building a reputation for playing great music at ceilidhs all over Scotland and beyond. The band have performed everywhere from Edinburgh Castle in the Capital to Mount Stuart House on the west coast and from Southern England all the way north to the Shetland Isles. The band has performed in Italy, France & Oman. There is something special about taking a band abroad and they were all extremely enjoyable experiences. Performing music for dance is what the band do best but they are equally at home performing in concerts and enjoying informal sessions.

Pepperdine University have used Scott and his band for our ceilidh at Dalhousie Castle for the last three years. They are super talented musicians and our students absolutely love it. It is the highlight of our Scottish field trip. The caller is fantastic at getting everyone onto the dance floor and learning the steps. Scott is friendly and easy to communicate with and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend them!

Scott & Iain did an amazing job during our daughter’s wedding on the Saturday and well into the wee small hours of Sunday! They came all the way over to the south of France and really made the event very special. We were so grateful for their patience with all the changes in timing that they had to put up with. All our friends and family were really happy. Great music and brilliant ceilidh calling. Kept the guests dancing, even after the drink was flowing! A really professional, polished and kind-hearted band! Well worth everyone penny(euro!)

Can you perform covers?

We only play Traditional Ceilidh Music

Do you have different line-up options?

Our regular line-up is Accordion, Fiddle & Drums but we can also offer the following line-ups: Accordion, Keys & drums. Accordion, Fiddle & Keys & 2 x Accordions & Drums

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are always flexible regarding timings and if there are any changes in the run up to your event, we will be happy to accomodate the changes where possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can supply up to a 60 minute DJ set/background music between ceilidh sets in order to provide a little rest period for what can be a very energetic and exhausting ceilidh. Unfortunately we do not offer a DJ set from the end of the ceilidh.

How much time do you need to set up?

Set-up will normally take us 30-40 mins depending on access. Once set-up is complete, we are happy to supply background music appropriate to the occasion until we are due to start the Ceilidh.

Do you provide a caller?

We can provide a caller who has experience of all age groups and ability.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Although we know the dances and that are the most popular everyone wants to do, we would be happy to chat to you about our dance program and we will do our best to accomodate any requests.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting is included in our quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Due to being an instrument led ceilidh band with no recognised vocalist, it is very unusual that we are asked to learn a song. We can however learn the melody of your favourite tune or song and would happily play that if requested.
