Sarah Wynne is a Soprano based primarily in the South West, graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2021 with Honours. During her degree at Trinity Laban she studied under Joan Rogers CBE, Alistair Young and Kelvin Lim. Before studying for her BMus she completed a Foundation year at Trinity College of Music and passed the ATCL Diploma with distinction. During her Foundation Course, she was a member of Trinity’s Chamber Choir who performed at St. Alfege’s, Greenwich, St. Martin-in-the-fields and also recorded three of BBC Radio 4’s Daily Service.
Throughout her degree and regular sang with Taunton Choral Society and her local church choir, and also previously the RSCM Voices West.
In 2016 she was placed 3rd in Taunton Young Singer of the Year and has also regularly performed at Taunton Festival. She was a soloist at Taunton Choral Society’s Celebration Concert for the Queen’s 90th (June 2016) and also for their concert ‘Wired to Create’ (July 2017). She has performed the ‘Second Woman’ in Purcell’s ‘Dido and Aeneas’ with Wellington School (June 2016). Sarah was the soprano soloist for Wellington Choral Society’s ‘Remembrance – 100 years’ concert at St Johns the Baptist, Taunton. In December 2019, Sarah returned to Taunton Choral Society’s as the soprano soloist for Michael Tippett’s ‘Five Negro Spirituals’. Please see Concerts for more details.
Sarah sings a wide range of classical music, from Baroque opera and oratorio to Twentieth Century Song and new compositions. She has sung for weddings and funerals and is familiar with singing with a choir. She is always happy to sing with a pre-arranged pianist or organist and also has some connections in Somerset.
