Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I know a big variety of tunes and I have many unusual tunes in my repertoire as well as the more expected ones. So people are often surprised with what I can come out with.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Jazz Cafe, The O2, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, The Roundhouse, The Scala, Hammersmith Apollo etc.....all kinds of special events and ceremonies...in art galleries, in street bands, in shop windows, on boats, cruise ships, and buses, on a steam-powered merry-go-round, in the middle of a lake, etc

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Working recently with lots of top reggae artists and musicians who are a great influence.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I played sax and flute with the legendary Big Youth and Daddy U-Roy at Rototom Sunsplash which was the biggest crowd I ever played to, flying straight from a lovely gig in Liverpool the night before and no sleep. Yeah!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If there's any changes to timings after booking just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can play some background music before and between sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ideally I like to have 30 minutes to set up and warm-up. For a local show I can warm -up at home and take 10 minutes to set-up.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You are welcome to pick out the tunes you would like.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I usually go through the DJ's setup or in house PA system. However I have my own mic and effects, and for a small space indoors or outdoors I have my own little amp which I can bring. I have a good selection of backing tracks to play along to. I can also play along to tracks chosen by you or the DJ.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I can learn song requests before the event.
