Sarah Thomas trained in opera at music college and sang with the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, before discovering her love of jazz. She has over 25 years’ experience and is also a piano teacher, locally. Having taken a break to have a baby, Sarah is thrilled to be back gigging again. She is joined by the amazing Matt Wilson on guitar, who plays with some of the country’s top jazz bands, taking him to such venues as Ronnie Scott’s and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

A really special, intimate set from Sarah Thomas this afternoon in a relaxed environment of Stansted Park Garden Centre and the coffee rooms. Stripped back, honest, and full of feeling, with a brilliant guitarist Matt Wilson alongside her who added so much depth to every song. The highlight for me was her take on an Eva Cassidy classic. It was one of those moments where the room just goes quiet and you can feel everyone locked in. These are the kind of gigs that remind you why live music matters.

Great night at Sisters in Southsea. Amazing vocalist and guitarist. What a voice I especially like the old Jazz Tunes. Definitely love to see again.
