I am a classically trained soprano, jazz singer, traditional singer and ceilidh caller. Large repertoire of opera. oratorio and song.

Sarah-Jane is a renowned International soloist. She has sung in India, Italy, Germany, France and has given recitals at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Banqueting House, Whitehall, in Russia (Moscow and Tver), Dulwich Picture Gallery, Hammerwood Park, Leighton House and Lauderdale House and for numerous music clubs and private clients throughout the country and abroad. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and the Britten-Pears School in Aldeburgh. She has also performed at the Royal Albert Hall, St John’s, Smith Square, Purcell Room, Wigmore Hall, British Museum, Kensington Palace, Amberley Castle, Dorking Halls, Snape Maltings and with English National Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, London Opera Players, English Touring Opera and on numerous occasions for the National Trust. Through the Cardiff Singer of the World competition she was chosen to represent the UK in the Rimsky-Korsakov Competition at the Marinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, reaching the semi-final. She is also the winner of several awards including the Susan Longfield Award, Caird Foundation Travelling Award, Wingate Scholarship, Schubert Prize and Ann Wyburd Awards (GSMD) and was runner-up in the International Voices of Discovery Competition. Operatic roles include Tosca, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Euridice (Orpheus & Euridice), Countess (Marriage of Figaro), Pamina & First Lady (Die Zauberflote), Edwige (Robinson Crusoe), Oxana (Cherivichki), Miss Jessel (Turn of the Screw), Michaela & Frasquita (Carmen) and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte). She also has a large repertoire of jazz, folk and pop and sings with many bands and musicians in duos, trios and quartets.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always keep in touch with you throughout the booking process and so this is easy to change.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes absolutely. Just let me know what you need.

How much time do you need to set up?

For events requiring Backing Tracks I need around 30 minutes to set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, and I will always try to learn your favourites if I don't know them already.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, PA and backing tracks if required.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes always. I don't charge extra to learn songs. I may have to buy a backing track if you need that and if it's expensive I will let you know.
