Sarah Louise Harris is a professional singer from Nottinghamshire, now living in Brighton. Passionate about singing from a young age, she has now developed this into a full-time job and a promising career, performing at functions, sessions and private events for several years, and is available for potential hire and bookings. She has worked with several prestigious, recognised names and talents in the industry during her time as a musician, including Elton John, Urban Voices Collective, The Dap Kings and James Cordon.
Sarah's strong, ranged and empowering voice combines elements of Erykah Badu and Amy Winehouse, and feels most at home when performing soul, blues and jazz tracks, where she is influenced by artists such as Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder and Lauryn Hill, but is a versatile musician able to adapt her craft to meet the situation at hand. She is at ease performing both as a solo artist or as part of a band.
Sarah both writes and produces her own music, mostly gaining inspiration for lyrics and melodies from autobiographical experiences, as well as songs she hears on the radio or from an online playlist. She is currently writing with local, well known producers to expand and develop on her talents.
Her debut single, "Pieces", was aired in 2015 on "Dean Jackson's The Beat", on BBC Radio Nottingham, and she is currently writing new, original material with the view of then releasing her anticipated debut LP, and beginning gigs and tours around the London and Brighton areas. Sarah would also be very interested in collaborating with like-minded producers, bands and artists as well.
