Sarah is a highly experienced and elegant singer-pianist performing a wide range of genres: classical, jazz, popular and Bollywood piano music. Sarah loves to perform for all types of occasions. Her friendly and helpful nature has been commented on and she will help you and your guests feel at ease and ensure that the music is as wonderful as the event itself. Sarah is currently a freelance musician. She teaches piano and voice both privately and in schools and she is CEO and Choir Leader of Dearlove Community Choirs. Her experience includes the following: Music teacher at outstanding school in Covent Garden, London. Choral conductor and conductor of orchestras, jazz bands and big bands at Royal Opera House, Linbury Theatre. Accompanist and vocal coach for Emunah Young Musician of the Year. Choral Conductor, coached by David Hill of BBC Singers and The Bach Choir. Performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the premiere of Seven Seeds and Primary Proms. It's great to have such an exciting piano and vocal teacher that brings out the best of someone whether or not you're a semi-professional or a beginner. Taking piano and vocal lessons with Sarah is one of the best decisions I ever made. I had already had several failed attempts at learning piano but since starting with Sarah, she has sparked my creativity. I had a couple of piano lessons with Sarah and then she told me that she does vocal coaching which I now take on a fortnightly basis.

Singing with Sarah is one of the highlights of my week. She teaches by singing a line first and then we copy it, building up to the whole tune. It's really easy, relaxed and fun building up different harmonies and sounds fantastic when we've got it. No matter how I feel when I arrive I leave feeling upbeat and happy, usually singing too. I like to sing but don't have confidence. With Sarah I have sung lines on my own in front of our group and am learning to 'have a try'.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can.

How much time do you need to set up?

15 minutes.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes that would be great, provided it's in tune and has been checked to be in working order.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes and you can request up to 3 other songs for me to learn in advance.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes I can.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, up to 3 requests with enough notice to learn them if I don't know them already.
