Sara Scalabrelli

I have fully completed my education in Italy gaining the Violino Diploma with the highest awards, in 1998. I have promptly started to work in some of the most important Italian Orchestras (e.g. Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Teatro alla Scala di Milano) playing opera as well symphony repertoire. In the same time, I attended international masterclass and postgraduate course (e.g. Gustav Mahler Academy, International Masterclass Santu Lussurgiu) that made me a grown up musician, especially thanks to the meeting with great musicians as Thomas Brandis and Roman Simovic, that have signed my life. I am currently attending a Master in Performance at the Guildhall School. In terms of professional experience, I have accumulated considerable expertise. I have almost 15 years of full time professional experience, earned through a variety of short-term and full-time position (e.g. Assistant Concertmaster, Sinfonica di Roma and Teatro Lirico di Cagliari;Leader of second violin section,Teatro Marrucino). In addition to these credentials, I have collected a lot experiences in Chamber Music. For 6 years I have taken part of the XXI Secolo Chamber Orchestra, that gave me the opportunity to expand my repertoire and to play in some different groups, especially string quartet, attending some amazing concertos (e.g. Quintetto Bottesini at the Auditorio di Santa Cecilia). In all this positions, I have consistently enjoyed excellent relations with employers and colleagues.
