Sam and Max Jazz Duo

Formed in 2022, this duo has played at many venues across Manchester and beyond into the North West. We started this group because of our shared love of jazz music, and wanted to pay homage to this beuatiful genre, bridging into pop and soul to create a very flexible repertoire that covers all situations. We both studied music in Manchester, specialising in jazz/improvisation, and since have played at many venues including two residencies at both Sonata Cabaret Lounge and Exhibition. We have also played at many restaurants, including Habas, Libertine, Abdingdon Street Market as well as two festivals and some private event work. Our performing highlight to date was definately playing at Topsham Music Festival down south last year, which we will be returning to this year again to a sold out space. Energetic, spontaneous yet professional, we will bring our character for whatever the occasion, whilst reading the room and playing what is needed to create the atmosphere.
