Sam Hinds

As a lover of music, sometimes you are lucky enough to stumble across something rare; and that something is genuine talent. Without hesitation, I would put Sam Hinds in that category. He not only has a voice to rival anyone, across any genre in terms of sheer quality of tone, control and passion of delivery… but he has the skill to use his voice in a way that gets people involved and engaged with his performance. He is also a wonderful guitarist, playing in a way that compliments and elevates diverse songs people know to be something exiting and memorable. In combination his performances are amongst the most complete you could wish to hear - I would go so far as to say, pretty much flawless. The best compliment I can give Sam is that he has that unique ability to make an audience listen, even when they may not even have come to a venue for the music, it is the hardest thing to do and Sam does it effortlessly. An absolute Professional.

Almost 14 years ago I first met Sam by pure chance performing in a country pub in Leicestershire with his then band the name of which now escapes me. However, from the very first song of their set that night. I was hooked and locked into Sam’s incredible vocal performance. So much so I approached him directly at the interval and exchanged numbers and suggested if he put a solo set together I could find some opening slots for my own bands shows at that time. Sure enough, within two weeks Sam did exactly that and opened a number of nights on our behalf. Sam has since performed and supported a wide variety of events at my request, also contributing significantly to a number community and charitable good causes. It has been an immense pleasure seeing Sam develop his craft and carve his path in becoming the artist he is today. Always the professional, prompt on arrival for every booking, courteous and polite to all event staff, stage crew and engineers. Sam’s passion for music is clear to see. Often staying back after his own set to watch and support the other musicians and performances. Sam’s own performances still captures me the same today as at our first meeting. Every vocal line is packed with emotion and soul and has a unique rasp that captivates the audience as he takes them on his own musical journey. Never bowing to trends that most performers take, Sam’s selection of songs to cover always sets him apart whilst showcasing the range and depth of his talent. Blending covers seamlessly into his own original material retains the full attention of the audience at all times. His song writing, original compositions and production skills are exceptional and are evident in the 2020 release of his debut EP Rolling Stone. Which I recommend anyone to listen to. I have absolutely no reservations in wholeheartedly recommending Sam to any booking agents, promotors, Venue owners or to anybody looking for music production and song writing collaboration.
