Sam is a Manchester-based musician, and specialises in reed doublings for musical theatre as a joint first-study Bassoon and Saxophone player, as well as being proficient in the clarinet family. Having performed in a range of productions, including Sweeney Todd, City of Angels, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Titanic, and Fiddler on the Roof, he has had experience playing with a wide variety of musical theatre companies and is always eager to do more. As a bassoonist, he has performed with a number of orchestras, including the Camerata of London, Sutton Symphony Orchestra and MUMS Symphony Orchestra, as well as other chamber ensembles. As a soloist he also performed Glazunov's Concerto in E-flat for Alto Saxophone last year with the Sutton Symphony Orchestra. In addition to being a performing musician, Sam also works as a sound engineer, having produced recordings for a number of ensembles and groups, including the Camerata of London Wind Quintet, Rogue Noodle Jazz Quartet, and Project Jam Sandwich. He also works as a live sound engineer, and can provide all his own equipment for functions.
