Sam Dawson

Hi, my name is Sam Dawson. I’m an East Yorkshire based vocalist and guitarist providing entertainment for pubs, clubs, weddings and parties, with a professional attitude and a passion for music. I have had many years of performing experience, which has led me to playing some of the biggest events in the region – Freedom Festival, Humber Street Sesh, Galtres Festival (alongside The Stranglers, Maximo Park, Reef) to name a few. My setlist contains songs from the 60s right through to modern day classics, so you can expect to hear anything from Elvis to George Ezra. For laid-back, live-lounge style gigs, (such as wedding receptions, wedding breakfasts etc.) the set is very much acoustic based, creating a light atmosphere for your guests. For those of you who like to dance and would like music during the evening (be it a party, wedding or private function) I make use of some effects pedals to get a full sound with plenty of bass! Not only does this create a more dynamic performance, it also allows me to ‘read the room’ – livening things up or stripping things back when necessary. Combined with a large repertoire, this makes for a unique performance each night which is tailored to the audience and venue. Everything you hear on this site is an accurate representation of what to expect when I perform live – nothing has been ‘souped-up’ via production wizardry.
