Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Two things come up most: that I read the room and take guests on a journey across the day, and that I'm calm and prepared so nothing feels rushed. Past clients have described the experience as "seamless" and said my range of covers — done with my own twist — lands really well with mixed-age crowds.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Hundreds of weddings across New Zealand and Australia — vineyards, beach venues, country barns, urban warehouses, hotels and registry offices. Plus corporate work for clients including Panasonic NZ (Christmas function) and Silver Fern Farms (brand events). Now building my UK venue list — ready to add yours to it.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
John Mayer, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Steely Dan
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Played a gig earlier this year which was 60,000 people back home in New Zealand. Here is how it went:

What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Totally fine — wedding timings shift all the time. Just message me as soon as you know and we'll reshape the set together. On the day itself I'm flexible to roll with whatever's happening. The goal is your day running smoothly, not me sticking to a rigid schedule.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes — I run a curated Spotify playlist through my PA between sets and during setup at no extra cost. We'll match the vibe to your event (mellow during dinner, building energy before the dance floor, etc.). Tell me your must-plays and any do-not-plays when we chat closer to the date.
How much time do you need to set up?
About 45 minutes before performance time — I like to get the gear set up unhurried, soundcheck quickly, and then settle in. As soon as the PA is ready I'll start the background playlist for arriving guests, no extra cost. Just need a power socket within reach of the performance area.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
Absolutely. My set list is a starting point shaped by hundreds of weddings, but every event gets a tailored running order. Share your must-plays, the songs that matter to you, and any vibes to avoid — I'll build the set around them. You can also pick the order: chilled opening, party finish, or whatever fits the day.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes — I bring everything I need: acoustic guitar, vocal mic, PA system, cables, mic stand. All gear is PAT-tested. For larger evening parties (150+ guests) I sometimes hire in an additional speaker — we'll discuss the venue and guest count when we plan the day.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Yes — one bespoke song (e.g. first dance, aisle walk, processional, father-daughter) included free with at least 4 weeks' notice. Additional learn-requests beyond the first: £75 per song to cover rehearsal time. If a song is already in my repertoire (90+ tracks) I can usually adapt it on shorter notice.
