We have an extensive repertoire ranging from classical favourites to current chart material, all specially arranged to sound effective for string duo (violin and cello). Established for over fifteen years we have performed at most of the most prestigious venues in the South-East including for HRH The Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace. We are delighted that our expertise and experience have been recognised across the wedding industry with awards from Hitched (2022), Guides for Brides (2018, 2019, 2020), Bridebook (2017, 2018, 2019), and The Wedding Industry Awards (2015 and 2016) and we are founder members of the Association of British Wedding Businesses. We trained at The Royal Academy of Music and offer the highest standard of musicianship for your event.

From the day we booked with Saffron Strings, the communication was great and selection of songs to choose from was amazing. I wanted songs that weren’t on their repertoire and it was not a problem to have. From the moment I heard my walking down the aisle song, I just fell in love. My wedding was last week and I asked Saffron Strings to play 2x 45 minute sets. They were simply amazing, I really wanted to create a Bridgerton style aesthetic playing modern songs in the background to the events and it was perfect. They took requests on the day which was great and also sent me their song list before the day so I could choose the songs I wanted to be played. Could not recommend enough and well worth the money! Thank you ladies you were great.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Most wedding venues in the South-East including Kensington Olympia and Buckingham Palace!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

An event hosted by the Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our duo line-up is violin and cello but we also have a trio option with the addition of a viola.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually arrive at the venue 45 minutes before we're due to play. This gives us plenty of time to set up and to liaise with the venue staff so that everything runs smoothly.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, we're very happy for you to select your favourite pieces from our repertoire list.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we are an acoustic act so bring our own instruments and music stands etc. The only thing we need at the venue is two chairs without arms.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our current repertoire list it's possible we can have an arrangement made for inclusion on the day. Since very little contemporary material is available for strings we may have to make a small charge to cover this.
