SJC are a versatile collective of hand-picked, professional jazz musicians, happy to provide music for celebrations of every kind. We offer a range of jazz ensembles for hire, from solo, duo and trio, to quartet, quintet and more. Whether you need professional musicians for a wedding, party or corporate event, we have the perfect jazz ensemble to suit you. The collective is comprised of professional session musicians from London and the South of England who have played in the some of the best Jazz clubs in London including, Ronnie Scott's, The Vortex Jazz Club, and the 606 club to name a few. The aim of SJC is to provide a tailored experience for each performance. Our band leader will work with you to help decide which is the best set up for your event and your budget, whether you’d rather have a single piano playing in the background or a seven-piece band with full horn section and vocalist for a larger scale party. The band leader, Ed, formed the collective after working within the Jazz session scene in London and wanted to create a jazz band that was versatile in both skill and set up, with an initial focus on jazz standards and adding a unique perspective to already well known songs. Ed has worked with various artists throughout Europe most recently returning from a tour of Italy and France and has worked on scores for film and theatre. SJC was formed in 2021 and has played events ranging from private birthday parties and weddings to music festivals in the South West of England. Though we are based in West London we can travel outside of London into the South West and South East with ease. We provide all our own gear which includes a PA system suitable for small to medium sized venues and there will be no extra cost for equipment hire or set up.
