We are a three-piece band covering all the standard ceilidh dances, as well as a number of not so common but easy to learn dances (especially useful where there a number of people not used to ceilidh-ing!). We will talk through all the dances (if required), using easy to follow instructions (and humour), and demonstrations, where required. We will happily take requests through the night and are happy to work with yourself in advance to ensure that we cover all your favourites. Our usual set up includes accordion, fiddle and guitar. This means that we can not only play for dancing but also sing a number of Scottish and popular songs, allowing for a variety through the night and engagement with the audience in other ways. We will work with yourself for the key parts of the night, such as the first dance and how you would like to close the evening.

Thank you so much to Rock and Reel for being such an important part of our big day! We had great communication from Duncan from the point of booking and were able to discuss specific music requests and change things around. The band were really flexible and a couple of them came along to play us out of our ceremony before returning that evening to play the ceilidh in the hotel. Ourselves and our guests had an absolute blast attempting the ceilidh dancing (we aren’t from Scotland!). When Duncan did a fiddle performance walking around the room our friend commented that ‘it was like being in a film’! We would definitely recommend you book the band for your wedding or any big occasion. Thanks again boys!

Rock and Reel were amazing at our wedding. They arrived with plenty time to set up and spoke to the venue about getting onto the stage etc so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Duncan was very friendly and interacted with our guests while playing the fiddle which was incredible. We loved the mix of ceilidh and songs. They are a very energetic and fun band. I would highly recommend booking them. Thank you!

"Just wanted to send you a wee email to say that the band were amazing - it was such a brilliant evening!! We loved it and everyone thought you were guys were incredible! I could not believe how many people got up and danced, it was fantastic! It worked very well with you going round and helping everyone with the steps! The caller was fab as well! If anything we needed a bigger dance space!

Thanks so much to the boys for a truly memorable ceilidh, what a superb band you are. I literally danced my socks off (quite a feat without removing my shoes)
