Born in the UK, Robin Stevens embarked on his musical journey at age 10, delving into the intricacies of piano performance. With 20 years of dedication, Robin has curated a diverse repertoire spanning classical, jazz, rock, rock 'n' roll, pop, and movie scores. His passion led him to earn a bachelor's degree in music composition from the University of Hertfordshire. One of Robin's specialties is his talent for transforming any song into a beautiful piano piece. Robin is extremely talented. He played at my wedding and he was incredible. Everyone loved him. I sent him a list of songs and he played every single one beautifully! I booked him at very short notice and asked him to play a few difficult songs that weren’t on his list. I couldn’t believe the outcome! I was blown away - as were my guests! Robin is an exceptionally talented pianist and a pleasure to work with - he was incredibly professional from start to finish and his communication was punctual and friendly. On our wedding day his piano-playing was just beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere in the room which is exactly what we were hoping for. We had so many comments from guests on his piano skills and asking for his details so they could book him too! Would 100% book Robin again for future events!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients value not only my music but also my punctuality, adaptability, and easy-going nature in organising performances. I'm eager to learn new pieces, ensuring personalised events. With a diverse repertoire, I create the perfect musical ambiance for any occasion.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have played at a number of beautiful venue’s including: The Lythe Hill Hotel in Haselmere. The Ravenswood, West Sussex Coltsfoot Country Retreat, Datchworth

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My musical style is shaped by personal exploration and creativity rather than specific influences. While I appreciate the talents of various artists and pianists, I strive to create performances that reflect my own unique voice and interpretation. This approach allows me to craft captivating and memorable experiences for my audience.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I've had the privilege of performing at several high-profile events, with weddings being among the most notable. These occasions are special as they allow me to contribute to the cherished memories of couples and their guests through music.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This isn’t something I provide.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm very happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely. I am also happy to learn one extra song of your choice at no extra cost, granted there’s a reasonable amount of time in advance.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list, there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn, I am happy to do one song for free. There is then a fee of £30 for any additional songs to take into account rehearsal times etc.
