Robert Dimbleby

Jazz pianist and multi-instrumentalist Robert Dimbleby has been making a name for himself with his original blend of jazz, funk and soul music from a young age. His videos online have amassed millions of views and he has performed across Europe, Australia, and at venues and festivals in the UK such as Ronnie Scott’s, BBC Studios, Abbey Road Studios, The Blue Note, The Apex, Camden Assembly, Notting Hill Arts Club, Westminster Park Plaza Hotel, Bestival, YNOT festival, The Leadmill, Oxford Union, The Royal Institute, Olivier’s Jazz Bar, The Fox and Firkin, MAP café, Deda Theatre, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, The Sage Newcastle, Norwich Arts Centre and many more with a huge variety of bands ranging from the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, to Mercury Prize nominee Sam Lee, to NME top 100 band Patawawa. Robert holds a distinction in Grade 8 piano and a DipABRSM in classical piano performance and he is now working as a professional jazz pianist in London, performing at jazz clubs, private events and weddings, guests to which have included such names as Liam Neeson and Daniel Day-Lewis. His versatility and love of many genres allows him to put together exciting sets of music to cater exactly to the tastes of what is required on each occasion. Whether it's relaxed background jazz, lively pop to get those feet moving, or a set of elegant classical music, Robert's breadth and depth of repertoire will bring the setting to life! In addition to being a regular performer, Robert is an avid composer and has released over 6 albums worth of original music in which he plays all instruments, as heard on BBC radios across the country. Inspired by pianists such as Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly, Kenny Barron, Mulgrew Miller, Erroll Garner, Herbie Hancock, Jason Rebello and Joe Sample, Robert is known for his strong rhythmic feel, lively touch, and soulful improvisational chops on the piano. Whatever the context, Robert's aim is always to play with soul and feel and share his love of music with the world.
