I studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the Bremen Hochschule, and the Menuhin Academy in Switzerland. My cello teachers included David Watkin, Alexander Baillie, Christoph Richter and Alison Wells, and I studied chamber music with Günter Pichler and Gábor Takács-Nagy.
I am currently a member of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. I also freelance with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and have performed as principal cello with Scottish Opera. Orchestral tours have taken me all over Europe and to the Far East, and I've performed chamber music at festivals including Gstaad, Bach Lutry, Mendelssohn on Mull, and Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Printemps.
I offer remote recording in a room with GIK acoustic treatment.
