Beautiful solo piano music played live at your event

About me! I have many years’ experience of playing the piano at various occasions whether that is at weddings or other functions, and can fit in with whatever plans you have and whichever venue you choose. I have a vast repertoire of songs at my fingertips from modern pop and blues, to songs from the shows, classical and jazz standards. I can also learn new songs quickly if you have any requests. It is not possible to list all the songs and pieces I can play as it would be far too long, however the short list of artists below I hope gives you a flavour of the range of styles that I like to play: Einaudi, Yiruma, Hans Zimmerman, Christina Perri, Elton John, Phil Collins, Lady Gaga, Tom Odell, Bruno Mars, Crowded House, Simply Red, Eric Clapton, Jason Mraz, Take That, Robbie Williams, Lewis Capaldi, Rod Stewart, The Beatles, Adele, Billy Joel, Bach, Pachelbel, Chopin, Carly Simon, The Temptations, Queen, Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, Randy Newman, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Johnny Cash, Oasis, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Van Morrison, Meat Loaf, Richard Clayderman….and many, many more. Planning and logistics Before the day we can discuss all your requirements over the phone covering the style of music you would like, the length of time you would like me to play, the timings of the day, set-up, logistics and location. I can provide advice regarding what kind of music is appropriate for your wedding day and I can also liaise with anyone helping with you the organisation and logistics of the day to make sure my musical accompaniment fits in seamlessly. You can also get in touch with me any time in the run-up if you have any new ideas or if there have been any changes to timings. On the day itself I will arrive at least an hour before I am due to start playing to ensure I have plenty of time to set-up before your guests arrive. I don’t clock-watch at weddings as I know even the best laid plans can go awry, and I won’t stop playing if we go over the agreed time! Equipment If the venue doesn’t have a piano I can bring my own full-size and fully-weighted electric piano and PA system, for no extra charge.

Thanks so much Robbie for playing at our wedding - you were brilliant and my friends and family all commented on how lovely having some live piano was! I also really appreciate your patience with one particular group of my friends and their attempt at singing along!! - hope they weren't too distracting!! :D they loved it!! Your versions of our ceremony songs were so beautiful and really personalised it for us, and we really appreciate you taking the time for learning them all for us. Thanks again, you really helped make the day special!

Hi Emily - thanks so much for this lovely review. I had a great time! Brinsop Court is such an intimate (yet spacious) venue and you, and your friends and family, were a joy to play for. I'm all for impromptu singing so definitely not distracting! Thanks for including me in your day, and congratulations!

Robbie played for my wedding on 29 September 2023 and was perfect from start to finish! He learnt my requests, and played them beautifully on the day. All of my guests couldn’t stop talking about how well he played. He was professional, friendly and a pleasure to have be part of our wedding.

Robbie you are amazing! Such a professional and talented pianist. You made our wedding drinks reception so beautiful and sophisticated with your wonderful performance. I couldn’t have asked for a better service, and I’m enormously happy I got to hear you play one of my favourite pianist, Ludovico Einaudi! Everyone loved you! Thank you so much! Kind regards Dayana

AMAZING PIANIST - made our day so special We wanted something special for our day and we certainly found it. From our first consultation with Robbie he was keen to learn about us, what we wanted and how he could make our day special and he certainly did that. He learnt songs for our special day including the walk down the aisle song, signing of register and walk back out. His music for the wedding breakfast and drinks reception demonstrated the laid back approach we wanted and every guest said how talented he was. We even made a special request for him to do our first dance with our DJ and they worked together and it is something that made our day even more special. This is someone you need to book for your wedding, special event. You will not regret it. Friendly, talented, flexible, he made our lives so easy but more importantly gave our wedding day that amazing touch.

We would 100% recommend Robbie, from our first meeting at a tasting at our venue we knew we wanted him as the soundtrack to our wedding. Robbie provided the music for the ceremony, reception and wedding breakfast and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Not only is he incredibly talented, he is so professional and really accommodated every one of our requests. Thank you Robbie!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients feedback that they appreciate my attention to detail and organisation ahead of the event, and my ability to tailor my playlist to the audience on the day. In addition to my actual performance on the piano, they also appreciate my ability to interact and mingle with guests on the day who are often interested in the music and keen to chat!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Usually this is no problem. I don't book more than one event in a day, so just let me know if anything changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can bluetooth music through my piano and external amplifier

How much time do you need to set up?

I leave myself two hours to set-up to ensure I am ready in good time. I can liaise with your venue about my arrival. I like to be ready and playing as your guests start arriving for the ceremony!

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, I love playing different pianos. I can liaise with your venue to ensure it is tuned and in good working order. If there are any issues, I can always bring my black or white digital baby grand set-up.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes of course. Also my repertoire isn't exhaustive, so feel free to ask for other songs as well as there's a good chance I'll know it or will be able to learn it quickly!

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes I often bring my own fully-weighted stage piano and baby grand shell, together with additional amplification.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I am very happy to be given requests before the event. I always offer couples the opportunity to request the pieces I will play during their wedding ceremony in particular. I am also happy to take requests for other aspects of the day as well. There is no additional charge for this.
