Love Guitar is a modern update on the traditional classical guitarist - ideal for weddings, dinner parties and other events. The repertoire consists of classic and modern pop songs played instrumentally, with options of movie/musical tunes and vintage jazz. The focus is firmly on romantic and feel good hits. Arrangements include favourite tunes by artists such as Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, John Legend, Queen, Madness, Foo Fighters, Spice Girls, McFly and many more! Live acoustic music is an excellent way to add a special, unique touch to an event and good background music should be unobtrusive but also be interesting enough to listen to - this is what Love Guitar is about. Rob plays intimate arrangements of favourite romantic ballads and up-tempo songs. The repertoire focuses on the contemporary hits and classic songs most clients have grown up with and enjoy listening to today. As well as the artists mentioned above, there are tunes by Rihanna, The Stone Roses, Elton John, Neil Young, ELO, Ellie Gouldin, Calvin Harris and more. Song choices focus on themes of love and happiness, keeping a feel good theme throughout. Arrangements are perfectly suited to creating a lovely backdrop. They are unobtrusive and equally perfect for listening to attentively or sitting in the background whilst guests chat. As well as a full repertoire of well-loved songs to choose from, there is also the option of learning an additional song of your choice free of charge. Maybe there is a special song you would like played at your event, maybe even to walk down the aisle to? If so Rob would be delighted to provide that.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. If there is a gap between sets where you want some music, I have an mp3 player setlist I can play which is in keeping with the live music I perform. Equally I am more than happy to run your Ipod or Mp3 player through my speaker if you have music you would like played.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually specify an hour to comfortably set up, though typically arrive 90 mins before I play to be on the safe side. If there are time/logistical restrictions at your event I could set up more quickly in about 20 - 30 mins!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You always invite clients to specify any songs from my repertoire that you definitely want me to include in the set, or even if there are any you would rather I leave out. I also offer the option of learning a song not in my repertoire free of charge.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring all my own equipment to play and for amplification. All I need is access to a plug socket (I have my own cable reels) and a chair without arms - though if I know there aren't going to be any I can bring this myself too!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I also offer the option of learning a song not in my repertoire free of charge. I am also happy to learn additional pieces for a fee of £30 per piece.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The intimate and delicate sound and musicality of the love songs performed, coupled with the modern song choices, and also some of the 'cheeky' uptempo pop songs played.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Scampston Hall, Malton, North Yorkshire Haigh Hall, Wigan, Lancs Hampton Manor, Solihull Fell Foot Wood, Ulverston Pittville Pump Rooms, Cheltenham Ellenborough Park Hotel, Cheltenham National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent

I booked Rob for a product launch. Booking was easy and Rob was very professional and great to work with. He listened to the set-up of the event and followed my lead to ensure the music and ambiance was perfect. I would definitely recommend Rob.

e wanted to start by saying thank you so much for playing at our wedding and coming from Manchester! Everybody loved your music and lots of our guests came and complimented us on choosing you to play at our ceremony. Our personally selected song was played perfectly and created such raw emotion. Will definitely be booking again if a future event calls for it and definitely recommend!
