RICHARD MOORE
Born in 1991. Richard is a graduate of the prestigious Brit School in Croydon, and Canterbury Christchurch University, where he studied classical performance, jazz, and composition. Richard studied violin under the tutelage of renowned violinist Carmel Kaine, and has recently performed in masterclasses given by Rachel Podger, John Wilson, and Josef Suk.
Richard has toured and recorded extensively in the UK and Europe, with a variety of ensembles, including folk bands, jazz/rock bands, and classical ensembles. Venues and events Richard has played at include: The Grand Hotel De Paris, the Savoy, Glastonbury festival, Secret Garden Party Main Stage, The National Portrait Gallery, and Ronnie Scott's.
Richard has performed live jazz, rock and folk with artists including Adele, a jazz tour with Nigel Kennedy in Poland as his 2nd violinist, and in rock bands supporting artists/bands including, Ed Sheeran, The Zutons, Mungo Jerry, and Beardyman. He has also had a recording he performed on and produced voted record of the day on radio 1 after winning an unsigned competition.
Richard regularly works as a studio session violinist and has performed solo violin on many advert tracks. He has also composed works for solo violin.
Richard plays on a modern violin by Mark Jennings , and a Violectra electric violin handmade by David Bruce Johnson.
Richard is also a guitarist. Studying to diploma level he regularly performs, teaches, and tours using a guitar as well as a violin.
