Singer (tenor)
Kingston upon Thames

Born and raised in Jersey, Channel Islands, Rich grew up listening to all genres of music, particularly rock and pop, through which he discovered some of his favourite artists: Queen, David Bowie, Stereophonics and Phil Collins. His passion for performance began at an early age, shown by singing on park swings as a toddler and performing Queen tribute concerts for his family. He learnt guitar and drums at age 6, but didn’t pursue singing properly until 2014. He attended De La Salle College and it was there where he developed his interests in writing and music. It was also during this time Rich started playing drums and acoustic guitar, building his musical abilities. On top of this, he explored his dramatic interests by joining Drama Lab and the Actors' Centre Theatre Company. This not only helped his vocal abilities, but also began his actor training, offering him a variety of roles in productions such as 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Macbeth', 'It Snows' and 'The Guffin'. After completing his GCSEs, Rich attended Hautlieu School for his A-Levels - by 2016 he had achieved three A-Levels in English, Media and Geography, as well as produced two short films, starred in a musical and risen to the role of Deputy Head Boy! Now, Rich is studying Creative Writing and Drama at Kingston University, London. He is a regular busker and enjoys entertaining crowds with tunes by Queen, David Bowie, U2, Phil Collins and Ed Sheeran. He released his debut album 'Sensations' on 21st April 2017, and it is now available on iTunes, Amazon Music and online streaming sites - and has had roaring local success! Rich has been writing songs for years but didn't start recording until May 2017. He sings all the vocals and plays all the instruments on his albums.

Rich's musical abilities are shocking. His range is shockingly large, his diction is clear - in fact, so clear that sometimes the artists singing the original songs aren't as clear as he is. A classic example where Rich demonstrates this is with David Bowie's 'Life On Mars'. Being a multi-instrumentalist also brings him benefits with gigs and seeing him get so passionate about exposing songs from the past and his own creations is inspiring, to say the least.

Rich is destined for big things. He captivated the audience with his excellent rendition of many well-known ballads. Don't think he stopped there though, there was Queen and Olly Murs too!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will do all I can to make your event run as smoothly and successfully as possible. If timings change in the run-up to the event, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Of course! Just name your tracks in advance and they'll be played to create any pre-show atmosphere you like. Alternatively, suggest an artist, genre or mood and I will play a selection.

How much time do you need to set up?

I require 1 hour to set up and complete sound checks. As soon as the PA is set up, I can provide a playlist service to set the mood before the show.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists can be catered to whatever mood or atmosphere you like. Whether you want upbeat anthems, chilled ballads or a mixture of both, I'm happy to negotiate with you so that the music fits your event perfectly.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Absolutely. I bring my own guitar, however, I do not own a PA system as of yet in England. I will probably need to hire out something until I have the opportunity to bring my things over from home to permanent accommodation.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I'm more than happy to. Please let me know in advance what song(s) you would like me to learn.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients love my versatility, musical variety and the ability to get an audience singing and up on their feet dancing!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Star at Legends Bar (Jersey, Channel Islands) Westhill Country Hotel (Jersey, Channel Islands) The Norfolk Hotel (Jersey, Channel Islands) St. Lawrence's Charity Horse Show (Jersey, Channel Islands) Fête de St. Helier (Jersey, Channel Islands) Weekender Festival (Jersey, Channel Islands)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, George Michael, Phil Collins, U2, Stereophonics and Keane.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

My most high-profile gig was the Jersey Weekender in September 2018, a festival at which Rita Ora and Rag'N'Bone Man were headlining.
